I'm going to keep this as straightforward as I can. I don't particularly like privacy policies that are written in a way that makes you need a law degree just to figure out what a website is doing with your information.
I also don't like websites that collect everything they possibly can, sell information about their users, or track people far beyond what is reasonably necessary.
SU Gaming does not sell your personal information.
I don't want SU Gaming to be that kind of website. I want to build a gaming site that I would actually be comfortable using myself.
That said, SU Gaming does use services such as Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and GamePix. Those services have their own privacy practices, and I'm going to be upfront about that rather than pretending they don't exist.
You do not need to create an account to browse SU Gaming or play games. You can visit the site, find a game, and play it without registering.
Accounts are completely optional and are there for people who want additional features.
If you choose to create an account, you can use it to:
Your account email address is used for things related to your account, such as password resets and other necessary account communication.
I do not use your account email address to send marketing emails, newsletters, or spam.
The answer depends on how you use the site.
If you're simply visiting SU Gaming and playing games without an account, you don't need to give us your name, email address, or other personal information just to use the site.
Some technical information may be collected automatically when you visit the site. This can include things such as your browser, device, approximate location, pages visited, and information about how the site is being used.
Some of this information is collected by third-party services that help us operate SU Gaming.
SU Gaming uses Google Analytics because I want to understand whether people are actually using the site and what they're doing when they're here.
It helps me see things such as how many people are visiting, which pages and games are being used, what devices people are using, and the general locations of our visitors.
Google Analytics' standard implementation can collect information such as the number of users, session information, approximate geographic location, and browser and device information. Google Analytics also uses a first-party cookie to distinguish users and their sessions.
I use this information to understand what is working, what isn't, and where SU Gaming needs improvement. I'm not interested in knowing who you are personally just because you visited a game.
I also do not intentionally send your account email address, password, or other personally identifiable information to Google Analytics.
You can read Google's own documentation about what Analytics collects here: Google Analytics data collection .
Because keeping SU Gaming running costs money.
Hosting, servers, game services, software, bandwidth, domains, and all the other pieces involved in keeping a website online aren't free. Advertising helps cover those costs and lets me keep the games available without charging you to play them.
I'm not going to pretend advertising doesn't involve some amount of tracking. It can. Advertising services may use cookies and similar technologies to measure advertising, prevent duplicate impressions, and, depending on settings and applicable requirements, personalize the ads you see.
That's why I'm telling you about it instead of hiding it in a tiny paragraph somewhere nobody will ever read.
SU Gaming uses Google AdSense to display advertisements.
Google says AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve, measure, and personalize advertising. Depending on the user's settings and the advertising configuration, ads may be personalized based on information such as previous activity, interests, or other available signals.
Google also provides controls that allow users to manage personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings.
You can read Google's information about how AdSense uses cookies here: How Google AdSense uses cookies .
Google also explains its publisher privacy requirements here: AdSense required content .
Some of the games available on SU Gaming are provided through GamePix.
GamePix operates its own services around these games and has its own privacy and cookie policies. According to GamePix's current published policy, its services may process cookies and usage data for purposes including analytics and advertising.
GamePix's policy also explains that its services can involve third-party advertising and analytics providers and may process information such as usage data, cookies, and certain identifiers.
I don't want to tell you that GamePix does or doesn't do something simply because it would make this page sound better. I'd rather point you directly to their policy and let you decide for yourself.
You can read it here: GamePix Privacy & Cookie Policy .
I'm not asking you to blindly trust me.
Before using third-party services on SU Gaming, I've taken the time to look through the privacy information available from the services we use. I've tried to understand what information they collect, why they collect it, and how they use it.
I don't like websites that hide behind a wall of legal language while doing things their users would never expect. If I wouldn't be comfortable with something happening to my own information, I don't want to quietly do it to yours.
At the same time, I don't control the privacy practices of companies such as Google or GamePix. They operate their own services and have their own policies.
So please check them out for yourself. You don't have to take my word for it.
If you find something in one of these policies that concerns you, I'd rather you tell me about it than assume I already know everything a third-party service does.
SU Gaming is a growing project, and I'll continue reviewing the services we use as the site evolves.
SU Gaming and the services used by the site may use cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies may be used for things such as keeping you signed in, remembering preferences, security, analytics, advertising, and measuring how the site is used.
You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Keep in mind that blocking certain cookies may affect some features of the site.
Information collected through SU Gaming may be used to:

SU Gaming is still growing. As new features, services, or advertising and analytics tools are added, this Privacy Policy may need to change.
When it does, the updated version will be posted here and the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will be changed.
If you have a question about privacy on SU Gaming, ask.
I'd much rather explain what we're doing than leave you wondering what happens to your information.
